Dishwasher Repair in Metro Atlanta

A dishwasher that leaks is the one appliance that can quietly destroy your kitchen floor. Most faults are in the pump, the hoses or the door seal — all fixable, and all worth catching early.

Water on the floor doesn't stay on the floor. It goes under the cabinets and into the subfloor. If yours is leaking, don't run it again — call us.

01

Problems we fix

If your dishwasher is doing any of these, we've seen it before — and we carry the parts.

Water standing in the bottom after a cycle

A clogged filter, a blocked drain hose, or a failed drain pump. The most common dishwasher fault there is.

Dishes come out dirty or gritty

Usually the wash pump, blocked spray arms or a failed circulation motor — not your detergent.

Leaking onto the kitchen floor

Door gasket, a cracked hose, or a failing pump seal. This one shouldn't wait.

Won't start at all

The door latch switch, the control board, or a tripped thermal fuse.

Won't fill with water

The water inlet valve or the float switch that tells it when to stop filling.

Bad smell coming from inside

Standing water plus a clogged filter. Usually solved with the same repair as a drainage fault.

Detergent door won't open mid-cycle

The dispenser latch or its solenoid — which is why the dishes aren't clean.

Loud grinding or humming

Something in the pump, or a pump motor on its way out.

03

What it costs

We won't put a number on this page — nobody can price a repair honestly without seeing the appliance. Here's exactly how the price gets set instead.

1

We diagnose before we quote

A price quoted over the phone, sight unseen, is a guess — and guesses have a way of growing once the technician is in your kitchen. Ours finds the actual fault first, testing components rather than assuming.

2

You get a firm price before we start

Once we know what's wrong, you get one clear number for the whole job — parts and labor together. Nothing happens until you've said yes.

3

The service call is free with any repair

Go ahead with the repair and the visit costs you nothing on top. Decide against it and a diagnostic fee may apply — but we tell you what that is before we come out, never after.

4

What actually drives the price on a dishwasher

Pumps and valves sit in the middle of the range; the control board is the expensive one. Most faults are neither — they're a clogged filter or a blocked drain line, and those are the cheapest fix in the house.

04

Repair or replace?

The honest answer, not the profitable one.

Dishwashers are usually cheaper to repair than to replace, and a new one still needs to be installed and plumbed in. The exception is a unit over about 10 years old with a failed pump and control board together. We'll tell you if you're there.

Either way, you'll know the price before we start. We diagnose first, quote second, and only work once you've said yes. The service call is free with any completed repair.

Dishwasher repair questions

Water left in the bottom means it isn't draining. The cause is nearly always a clogged filter, a kinked or blocked drain hose, or a failed drain pump — in that order of likelihood. It's a common repair and usually done in one visit.
If the dishes come out gritty, water isn't reaching them with enough force. That's typically blocked spray arms or a weakening wash pump, rather than a detergent problem.
We'd rather you didn't. Dishwasher leaks run under the cabinets and into the subfloor, and the water damage costs far more than the repair. Turn it off and call us.
Most are done in one visit, typically an hour to ninety minutes including diagnosis.
